Here's something to think about... if your sex life is flailing and you're just not getting all you should out of it, perhaps age has taken it's toll on more than just the more visible parts of your body. Maybe it's time to consider laser vaginal rejuvination. vaginal plastic surgery is a rather overlooked segment of the medical community--it's not as commonly thought of as breast agumentation, or tummy tucks, but it is a vital area and the facilities that handle this type of reconstructive situations provide a vital service to the feminine community. At the Laser Vaginal Rejuvination Institute of Atlanta the doctors strive to provide this helpful service to women of all walks of life. To improve their body image and correct, and maintain that most vital of areas for sexual and emotional health and pleasure.

Apparently Paperback writer has had some melt down issues due to industry frustrations, and family health problems. I was sorry to hear all that when I finally got around to reading her blog today. She did handle her recovery from blog abstinance with her usual grace and wit however. I love her Fubb Ten. It sure has a way of getting under your skin. There's something about being able to share you joys, your angers, and frustrations, and even just nothing at all. She has a wonderful mini horse farm and her blog is focused on that. It's fun to read blogs outside the normal realm of your world though (although that's certainly not out of my 'normal' realm). I enjoy cruising blogs that are not related to 'my' particular endeavors though too. Reading other insights. Other 'worlds'. It's sort of cultural development via the web.

One of the touchiest subjects to a couple who want to have children, is the inability to produce the desired pregnancy. It was a hush-hush subject many years ago when I was young and heard all the whispers when my Aunt and Uncle wanted to have children. Of course, at the tender age of six I had no idea what all the whispering was about until many years later when my Grandmother finally answered my questions.

My Aunt and Uncle were unable to have children. That was nearly forty years ago. They went to the doctors, but the medical advancements at that time just didn't have the answers for them.

So much has changed in those forty years. Were they to have that problem now the solutions would be much more varied and probably successful.

Right near us in Chicago, and also in Naperville, there is the fertility clinic Chicago IVF run by Dr. Randy Morris who helps couples who desperately want to have a child in their lives but have been unable to, understand their infertility and solve it.

Find out more about these wonderful Drs. and all the different methods available to help you have the child you pray for in your lives.

Just last week we got hit with a foot of snow overnight. On the 13th we shoveled several inches out of the driveway including quite a few three and four FOOT drifts, then the next morning it was all right back there from all the wind and more snow. Now only two days later we got more. I woke up this morning to falling snow. It ended by noon and had added another 2.5 inches. Certainly not as much, and shoveling it wasn't all that hard, but hoisting it up over the nearly five foot 'walls' of snow on either side of the drive way was a real back-breaker. I sure am ready for spring...on an up note, they say we should be in the 30's and 40's by the end of next week... hurray, but man when all this snow melts, we're going to need rowboats.

Do you have stretch marks? I think that just about anyone who has had a child carries the reminder scars. Since I can't call them pretty, like most I call them badges of honor, or in some instances when the kids are more like warriors on a battle field, war wounds. I'd love a product to wisk them away. My body may never look the way it did pre-children, but at least it wouldn't have those 'lovely' shimmering scars. Mother's Intuition has a product called Tummy Honey that is supposed to prevent stretch marks. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure I suppose, but prevention is a bit late in my case. There are some great reviews on the product that also show it to have great effect on existing strech marks though. It might be worth the price to try it out except that the website does not tell you directly how much the product costs. Why do some of these places do that? Oh it gives you a page where you can write to them for the price list--why not just put it right up front on the page and let us know right when we're looking for it? That's when we're most likely to buy the product. I'm not a patient person. I guess that's the problem.

Payperpost has just put up it's new updated version of the opps board. As predicted, or at least most of us expected it, lots of worry, and talk preceeded the grand rollout which updated a lot of features, made a lot of long talked about changes, and additions. There was a lot of fear that the new segmentation implication would radically reduce the possibilities for posties who had blogs with low, or no PR levels, like mine here. That isn't the case however. Not any more than it has been in the past, at least not so far. I'd be able to tell too, because my other two blogs have a higher PR level so those would show the differences and they don't. There are a lot of cool new features like a review my post button offering several ways to help. First by letting Payperpost, and the postie themself know what readers think about the particular post, and two, allowing the postie, and the reviewer to earn a few dollars along the way. As usuall Payperpost is showing itself to be the top of the line in the vast new waters of paid blogging. There are lots of companies out there, but none compare.

There's something about jewelry that can make a person feel really good. Sparkling jewels, or precious metals that glimmer and sparkle can make us feel like a million bucks even if they didn't cost that much, and even more so if they do. Antique jewelry has even more flavor having the richness of history behind it. Looking at antique button jewelry makes you wonder what past lives each piece had and wearing it can give you the feeling of being joined with that history. Imagine yourself wearing the bracelet of a Countess, or the necklace of a head of state, a broach worn by the Vanderbuilts, or some other old money family, or even the ring a King, or Queen. Antique Jewelry can take you there.

The Pen calling the Ink Black

Just taking a few minutes to blow off a little steam on the hypocrasy lately over some bloggers who bash the people who do paid blogging on their blogs.

1st off it's kind of funny how many if not most of those very bloggers accept some form of payment for their blogs, either from banners, or adsense to outright sponsorship from companies.

Now, I know there are a great many bloggers who don't care to advertise in any way on their blogs, and more power to them, everyone has their own decisions to make regarding that, but whether they do, or don't is just a simple decision not a matter of sainthood. It's not a matter of one person being better than another. Why do we always have to make it about that? And if they do take money (in any form) for their blogs, they really shouldn't be calling the 'ink black'.

I spent Super Bowl Sunday at my daughter's house with the grandkids. Donald her significant Other and his cousin and a friend were playing poker. I haven't played poker in years, but we used to play quite often back before the kids were born, and when they were little. Had friends over and ordered pizza and just had fun.

Last night was a new twist on the old fun though. Donald had all the trimmings. Automatic card shuffler, a custom case with hundreds of chips of varying worth, and a really nice table set up in the den. It felt like a real deal game...which it was, but it made it feel like more than just a casual get together. It made it even more exciting and fun. Cardroom supplies has poker tables like that, and all the trimmings too to make all your games a real experience for your family and friends. They have a huge selection, great prices, and free shipping on orders over one hundred dollars. It's the little touches that make the entire atmosphere more entertaining.

Oh yeah, I lost eight bucks, but I had a ball doing it.

Web 2 ooooohhhhhhh

Okay, a little investigation turned up the answer for a question that's been bugging me--What is web2.0? I've been hearing that description to describe web-based companies lately. Is it the new word to replace dot-com and what negative connotations that may have after so many big dollar dot-coms went bust? Or is it a symbolization of a new technology in use today? What is it? I understand the concept of 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and on up when it comes to programing, so it would stand to reason that web2.0 refers to a better version of the web, or a programing. Or does it stand for a better version of the dot-coms?

There's a really good article that goes into indepth description of the concept of web 2.0 here

Basically it's a little bit of both of my assumptions--1st a new way of saying dot-com, and secondly an improved method of doing business on the web. A new model so-to-speak. Being as popular as the Internet is, it's impossible to think that web-business is unrealistic. It has proven itself time and again, and even when it's failed completely it has bounced back new and improved.

The web is here to stay... we're caught.

Thanks ask.com for providing the link to the question asked.

Could this latest cold snap be the last? Well, probably not, we still have the four weeks of blustery February to handle, but maybe March won't be so bad after all. Although if it goes out mild, doesn't the old saying go that it's coming in like a lion? Oh brother.

Sorry I haven't been posting often here this week. I've been on the sick list. Most days I have managed to get up and either post or cruise for 30 minutes to an hour, and some not even that. Yesterday I couldn't even get up for a few minutes. I know many of you know what the weather is like in the Northern areas up here, I was really getting used to a nice, mild winter though for awhile there. Now they say this weekend the wind chills are even going to get into the negative 20's and 30's. I've always been bad at physically taking such heavy changes in weather, these last couple years have been the worst though.

If you're looking for ways to distinguish yourself at work, or put your best foot forward in looking for a new job--Yahoo has an article geared toward helping you do just that. You,Inc (http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/assessment/Develop_Your_Personal_Brand__20061026-101049.html?subtopic=Career+Assessment+Tips) helps you develop your own personal brand.

I love that idea, but it's kind of funny that we need help being 'us'. Have we sunk so low in this tech age that we no longer feel connected to ourselves and what makes us who we are?

I'm not really downplaying the article, it has a lot of great points and it's necessary to present yourself to your best advantage at work, but I think it's a symbol of our generation too. We've lost ourselves in technology, and the insanity of the fast-paced lives we lead.

I think what we need more than a good self-help article on self presentation is a stop and look in the mirror.

Introduce yourself to the person you see in the mirror.
