Sometimes getting site traffic can seem like a juggling act. Begging, borrowing and stealing links. Posting for links. Crawling on the floor looking for links. Asking Santa for links. Anything to get more traffic and more search engine glory.
It doesn't have to be that difficult though. Join groups that have large memberships pertaining to your blog's topic and exchange links with other members. Get on blog rolls of groups that have similar interests. Post on blog comment trails. Doing little things like that will increase your traffic tremendously. This site itself is in the infancy of my blog promotions. My blogspot has been more active for longer, and enjoys a slightly higher page ranking.
Ah the evil engines, they keep track of us all. Our superiority at the moment linked to that elusive number assigned to our blog/site's level of linkage and such.
Another great way to pump up the volume on your blog or site is to actually join the circus.
Yep, you read it right--Circus... well, carnival to be more exact. Blog carnivals are fun, and help increase traffic and linkage stupendously.
A fellow payperpost postie, Jessie is holding a blog carnival on January 1st. She will link all carnival members on her site at Hunna's Happenings. You can get in on the fun too if you're a fellow postie. If you're not a postie yet, go to my blogspot at Writer's Corner and click on the Payperpost affiliate button on the sidebar and join the fun!
All a postie has to do to get in on the carnival excitment is the following:
Email Jessie at hunnagirl063080@gmail.com the link to your blog as well as the link to your favorite post.
Submissions must be entered no later than 11:59 p.m. on December 27th.
Place a post on your blog directing other Posties to enter the carnival and then another post the day of the carnival directing readers to check the carnival out.
That's it! Simple right? And one of the best ways to generate links and traffic through your blog. So what are you waiting for?
