I have to admit I haven't been following up on one of my favorite bloggers much lately because of time restraints. Sometimes I'd like to just throw this computer out the window it runs so slow. Of course, having dial-up doesn't help. Usually mine is fairly quick (at least I'm told) in comparison to other dial up servers. Not today though. It's like mollasses on a cold spring morning.
A friend of mine just started a blog. I encouraged her. Now she's hooked. It sure has a way of getting under your skin. There's something about being able to share you joys, your angers, and frustrations, and even just nothing at all. She has a wonderful mini horse farm and her blog is focused on that. It's fun to read blogs outside the normal realm of your world though (although that's certainly not out of my 'normal' realm). I enjoy cruising blogs that are not related to 'my' particular endeavors though too. Reading other insights. Other 'worlds'. It's sort of cultural development via the web.
One of the touchiest subjects to a couple who want to have children, is the inability to produce the desired pregnancy. It was a hush-hush subject many years ago when I was young and heard all the whispers when my Aunt and Uncle wanted to have children. Of course, at the tender age of six I had no idea what all the whispering was about until many years later when my Grandmother finally answered my questions.
My Aunt and Uncle were unable to have children. That was nearly forty years ago. They went to the doctors, but the medical advancements at that time just didn't have the answers for them.

Just last week we got hit with a foot of snow overnight. On the 13th we shoveled several inches out of the driveway including quite a few three and four FOOT drifts, then the next morning it was all right back there from all the wind and more snow. Now only two days later we got more. I woke up this morning to falling snow. It ended by noon and had added another 2.5 inches. Certainly not as much, and shoveling it wasn't all that hard, but hoisting it up over the nearly five foot 'walls' of snow on either side of the drive way was a real back-breaker. I sure am ready for spring...on an up note, they say we should be in the 30's and 40's by the end of next week... hurray, but man when all this snow melts, we're going to need rowboats.

What a pretty song that is, but when it comes to reality -- it bites!
Actually it's not all that frightfull at the moment but I just heard from my husband that he made arrangements to be back home tonight so he can help shovel us out... I was foolish enough to ask 'from what?'
Apparently we have ELEVEN inches of snow heading our way and is supposed to be dumped on us between noon today and noon tomorrow.
I was very whiny about that until Kay pointed out to me that folks in the New York area are walking on their rooftops due to over 9 feet (NINE FEET!!!) of snow having fallen there.
Okay, I won't whine anymore--I will still complain about it though.

Some days just make you want to scream. This is one of those days for me for sure. Nothing is going quite right. Even the things that are working properly seem to require tweaking. I think I'm going to finish up here and go take a nap after my next post.
